• The TEWFI Women’s Centre was constructed in conjunction with UNDP India.  It has been used for many vocational training activities such as handloom creation and candle making

• Currently used as a tailoring centre for women, teaching them the fundamentals of tailoring 

​

• Class size: up to 20 women between the ages of 16-35

​

• Equipped with eight sewing machines

​

• Women’s Tailoring Classes are beneficial in that they:

  • teach women a handy skill

  • create a safe space for them to be together and express themselves 

  • increase their confidence and self-esteem

  • increase their perceived value in the community
